Think the 300 horsepower Ariel Atom 3 is a sweet ride? Try this: Ariel has announced they are going to produce the 500 horsepower V8 prototype of the Atom 3 that will do 0-60mph in 2.5 seconds and 0-100mph in 6 seconds!  Best part is they are going to be bringing it Stateside (Ariel is out of the UK). It’s road legal as long as your state will let you register it as either a “Kit car” or a ” Hobbyist car” (my case here in WI). I really want need to get my hands on one of these! now playing: Hybrid – Keep It In the Family

I went to the 2009 Chicago Auto Show this past weekend and took over 400 photos! I expected a so-so show given the trouble most car companies are facing right now, but was pleasantly surprised by the great concepts this year.

Perhaps the sweetest was the Chevy Corvette StingRay concept (pictured above). According to the GM spokeswoman the StingRay will be one of the transformers in the upcoming movie sequel. Other great concepts, respectively pictured below, were the Cadillac Converj (yes that’s how it’s spelled), Chrysler 200 C, Dodge Circuit, and Jaguar XFR (I really want to buy this car!).
